What you can claim for

A quick reference guide

We don’t see every car that is handed back to us, so the mfldirect Assured Standard protects your purchase by setting out the level of vehicle condition you can expect from us.

Our Assured Standard helps you see if any areas on your car don’t come up to our standard, so you can easily work out what you can claim for.

Before you raise a claim please read through our Assured Standard to check what you can claim for.

For quick reference, we've outlined a few areas below to help you get started.

Wheel trims and tyres

If alloy wheels are unrepairable, you can raise a claim. And we’ll cover tyre damage if it would fail an MOT.

Bumpers, bright work & body mouldings

If any of these areas of the vehicle are beyond repair, raise a claim.

Overall vehicle condition

Please check the car to make sure it’s mechanically sound before you raise a claim.

If you find any adaptions, please take clear pre and post removal images showing any residual damage left once the adaptation has been removed.

Body and paintwork

You should always raise a claim for area with excessive damage or areas which are difficult to repair.

Window glass, lamp lenses & mirrors

We’ll cover windscreens that are beyond repair or would fail an MOT.

Service books & documentation

Please check your documentation to make sure your car matches the description and mileage at time of purchase.

Keys, tools & security equipment

Claim for missing tools, and we’ll make a contribution towards the cost of a missing spare key.

Luggage area

Claim for luggage areas with excessive damage or areas that are difficult to repair.

Controls and electrical equipment

It’s not always possible for us to offer like for like units, but we’ll contribute towards the cost of the original specification or equivalent.

We can also help with SatNav SD cards.

When there is staining which is difficult to remove, please take clear pre and post cleaning images.
